     To be buried in the churchyard of Maugheryvilack.
     To my wife Mary McVitty and my two children Thomas and William all my goods equally into three parts.
     I appoint John Nealson of Gaurtnadaragh and Simon McVitty of Arduncheon, both in co. Fermanagh, to be exors.

     William Betty, Plt.          William Williams, Charles Meredith, Joseph Woodward, and John Hatch, Defts.          29 April 1700          No ans.
     Plaintiff William Betty of Atherdie, co. Louth, sadler, sheweth. That in 1683 a marriage was proposed between Plt. and Mary Williams daughter of William Williams late of Mahonstown, co. Meath, gent., decd, and said Wm. Williams promised to give Plt. £140 marriage portion with said Mary. That accordingly Plt. married Mary Williams in said year 1683. That Wm. Williams paid Plt. several sums on account of said marriage portion amounting to £100, having paid Plt. the last payment in 1687. That the late wars coming soon after Williams did not pay Plt. any more so that there is still owing to Plt. £40. That Wm. Williams was in his lifetime seized in demesne as of fee of the lands of Laurencetowne part of Dunoure, part of Lackmalute, part of Tertany Fartagh, the Goales, part of Sheine, part of Corboggy in the barony of Kells, co. Meath; also the lands of Killneheinch, Coraglugh, Qurgalagh, part of Dulane and part of Knockglass, in the barony of Kells, co. Meath; and made his will dated 18 Oct. 1689, whereby he devised all his lands and estate of inheritance to his exors in the first place to pay his debts; and after his debts were paid devised said lands to William Williams his son and heir and to his other sons, and appointed Charles Meredith, Esq., Capt. Henry Guilter, Capt. Peter Wertensor, Joseph Woodward, Esq., and John Hatch, gent., exors. That Wm. Williams died in 1699 seized of said lands, but left little or no personal estate which had been lost and taken away during the late troubles, and the exors ought according to said will, hold said lands to pay testator’s debts.
