Plt. Thomas Beatty of Park, King’s Co., yeoman, sheweth. That Capt. Charles Beatty of Faranseer, co. Cavan, on 1 May 1708 did hire Plt. to attend and wait upon him as a waiting servant for one year from 1st May at £5 per anm. wages, and did also agree to give Plt. board wages at rate of 10 d. per day. That Plt. faithfully attended Charles Beatty for said whole year, and at the expiration thereof, viz, on 1 May 1709, Chas Beatty prevailed on Plt to attend him for another year upon the same wages. That Charles Beatty retained Plt. in his service for 4 ½ years including the said first 2 years. That Plt. having a very great regard for Capt. Chas. Beatty and being willing to serve him, did lay out for the use of Chas Beatty at his request several sums amounting to £6; which together with said wages of £5 per anm. for 4 ½ years service amount in the whole to £22-10/-, and said 10 d. per day board money for 4 ½ years. That said £6 lent to Charles Beatty, wages and board money are all still due to Plt. and Charles Beatty now refuses to account with and pay same to Plt. Prays that a writ may be gtd agst Charles Beatty to answer, inter alia; did not Plt. lay out said £6 for the use of Charles Beatty at his request in Bristol in England. Bill entered 10 Nov. 1713.

Plaintiff, Rowland Betty of Ardvarney, co. Fermanagh, gent., sheweth. That John Crosier, senior, late of Cavantilly Cormick, co. Fermanagh, gent., dec’d, who was in his lifetime and at the time he died possessed of considerable real and personal estate, but that some were liable to several incumbrances, and who falling sick made his will dated 29 June 1706 of which he appointed Plt. exer and soon after died; and Plt. proved the will. That by said will Crosier devised several legacies (inter alia) £10 to Rowland Betty of Cavanlagh, co. Fermanagh, and also £20 to Jane Johnston one of his granddaughters. That testator knowing that his estate was heavily incumbered desired Plt to first pay his debts and if there were no effects left to pay off all debts he desired Plt to pay his legatees according to priority as they are devised. That since Crosier died Plt. has paid several of his debts amounting to £1,000 and upwards, and is constantly paying other debts as the assets come to him, but cannot tell how many debts are still outstanding or if
