146. Will of Charles Beatty of Farrinseer, Co. Cavan, Esq. To be buried in the churchyard of Killashandra. I bequeath £20 towards my funeral and also order that my dear wife Mary Beatty “who is an aged, sickly and infirm woman” do live in my house for her life and have proper maintenance. To my nephew Edward Beatty of Corr in the parish of Killashandra my best suit of clothes and best of my linen. To Charles Beatty son of my nephew Edward Beatty of Corr aforesaid 10 heifers. To my nephew Charles Beatty son of John Beatty late of Springtown, Co. Longford a chain and ring and two pair of gold buttons. To the poor of the psh of Killashandra £5. Appoint my dear brother Arthur Beatty of Lacken, Co. Longford, gent. my sole heir and that he and Mr. Wm. Tweedy of Killashandra, Co. Cavan shall be exr's; and that they shall jointly take proper care of my dear wife Mary Beatty for her life. In witness whereof 7 January 1731-2. Chas. Beatty

258. Will of Bryan Reily of Drumcla, Co. Cavan. To my beloved wife Anne Reily alias Finigan £35. To my father £10 and should he die same to my brother's children with the rest of my substance except £1-16/- to Mr. Owen Farrelly priest in the church of Rome for the clergy of that communion. Appoint Robert Boyce of Cavan and Mr. Owen Ferrilly exr's. In witness whereof 21 May 1741. Bryan Reily (his mark). Witnesses: Jo'n Reilly. Edw'd Beatty, Jo'n Brady. Probate granted 9 May 1741 to Robert Boyce.
259. Will of Arthur Beatty of Faranseer, parish of Killashandra, Co. Cavan, gent. In order to avoid disputes which may hereafter arise in my family I make this my will. To my son William Beatty twenty 3 year old bullocks and a black 3 year old filly of the bald mare's and one bay colt, also a bed and “one large Ovall Table that I brought out of the County of Longford.” Also 6 chairs and 2 pots, and also that part of the lands of Farrinseer now possessed by me adjoining William Scott's land as same is now bounded from Cornefean Lough to the Lough of Annagh, he the said William paying half the rent of Faranseer as in the lease of said lands perfected to me by Arthur Hamilton of Castle Hamilton, Esq. To my son David Beatty my dwelling house and other office houses together with the remaining part of the lands of Faranseer, subject to the rents of said lands of Faranseer and also my title and interest in the lands of Annagh and Clonlaskon, together with the residue of my goods and chattels, except as bequeathed above, to my son William, and also leave to son David all debts due to me. My dearly loved wife to be maintained for her life by my son David. Whereas my son John “hath been disobedient and behaved in such manner as he is not entitled to my favour” therefore to my sd son John 1/-. I appoint Mr. James Young of Drumgoon, my son-in-law William Trumble, and my son David to be exr's and my said son-in-law & son David to act by the discretion of Mr. James Young.
