II.  823.876  The 164th (or 3rd) Regt of Corcoran's Irish Legion was organized in New York to serve three years.  It was mustered into the service of the U.S. 19 Nov. 1862, and mustered out of the service 18 July 1865.  First Lieut. John Beatty promoted to Adjt. 4 July 1863; to Major 21 Jan. 1864; mustered out with the Regt. as Lieut Col. 15 July 1865.  Second Lieut. David J Beatty, promoted to Capt. 4 July 1863; mustered out with that Rank 15 July 1865.
