September 3, 1746. “Between John Burrows of City of Dublin, Gent and Jane Burrows wife of said John Burrows of the one part and Charles Beatty of the city of Dublin Gent. of the other part. Reciting that whereas the said John Burrows and Jane his wife for divers causes them thereunto moving are come to a finale resolution to live separate and apart from each other and no longer to dwell or cohabit together and that whereas on the intermarriage of the said John Burrows with the said Jane the sum of one thousand pounds secured on the Lands of Portlahan and other lands in the County of Tipperary was assigned and made over to the said Charles Beatty and other Trustees therein named for the use of the said John Burrows and Jane his wife and their issue under the several restrictions therein contained and that whereas in consideration of said premises and of the covenants of the said Charles Beaty therein after contained on behalf of the said Jane Burrows he the said John Burrows hath agreed to pay and allow unto and for the use of the said Jane Burrows for her sole and separate use and maintenance the yearly sum of twenty pounds ster of lawful money of Ireland during the joint lives of the said John Burrows and said Jane his wife to be paid and secured at such times and in such manner as is therein after mentioned…John Burrows hath granted bargained and sold unto the said Chas Beatty all those the lands of Portlahan, Dromed, Bredagh, Gortnepledulaugh, Ballycasey and Ballyquirke alias Ballyrourke situate in the Co. of Tipperary..” Charles Beatty to pay yearly to Jane Burrows the sum of £20. Witnesses: Lettice Palliser, wife of George Palliser of city of Dublin, Upholder & Peter Campbell apprentice to George Palliser. Memorial also witnessed by Simon Luneman of the City of Dublin, Gent.
