December 3, 1748. Deed of Lease & release. John Beatty of the Town & County of Monaghan Gent. to Brabazon Noble of the same “for ye better & more effectual securing the sum of forty eight pounds due by him to the said Brab. Noble on a bond bearing date the sixth day of Nov’r one thousand seven hundred & forty seven” and for an additional sum of £100 paid to John Beatty, demised the lands of Cortell (248 acres) & the lands of Carrick Mullan (158 acres), both situate in the Manor of Castlering, Co. Louth. This land was originally leased to John Beatty by Rt. Hon. Wm. Graham for the life and lives of John Beatty & Hugh Beatty sons of the said John Beatty and Sophia Beatty daughter of the said John Beatty. Proviso of Redemption. Witnesses: Murray Kathrens, City of Dublin, Gent & John Kathrens of the same Pub Not. Registered December 5, 1748. |
