John Beatty of the Town & County of Monaghan “for the payment and discharge of the sum of one hundred pounds with all the interest and costs due or to come for or on account thereof and for the better securing of the payment” grants to Robert Montgomery of Brantrum, Co. Monaghan “a clear yearly rent of twenty pounds sterling to be issuing and payable out of all that and those the Land of Hart situate in the County of Monaghan…” Lease continues until Robt Montgomery is repaid the £100. Witnesses: John Deane, officer of Excise & Alexander Lawson yeoman, both of Town & County of Monaghan. Memorial also witnessed by Robert Brenan of Glaslough, Co. Monaghan. |
