June 4, 1769; "Memorial of Indenture of Lease made between James Beatty of Clownish in the County of Monaghan Merchant of the one part, and Wm. Hanna of Newry in the County of Down Saddler of the other part;" Wm Hanna is currently in possession of the lands, lately possessed by Michael Harshaw and James Atkinson, lands on North Street in town of Newry; lease is for the lives of "his present Majesty King George the Third, his Royal Highness George now Prince of Wales, and His Royal Highness Prince Frederick Bishop of Osnaburgh." Witnesses: Michael Harshaw and Robert Walker both of Newry aforesaid, merchants, also William Burke of Newry, Gentleman. |
