November 16, 1779; Marriage Articles between William Watkins of Derrybrush, County Fermanagh, James Beaty (sic) of Ardmore, County Fermanagh and Jane his daughter and John Watkins of Derrybrush, County Fermanagh, merchant. "Reciting that a marriage was intended to be had between the said William Watkins and Jane Beaty and that it was thereby agreed to provide a Jointure or yearly annuity of thirty pounds Sur(?) for the said Jane Beaty and further reciting that the said William Watkins then stood possessed of the farm lands commonly called and known by the name of Colenashanton with the appur'ees situate in the Barony of Tyrkennedy and County of Fermanagh by virtue of an Indented Deed of lease to him thereof made by Mervyn Archdall of Castle Archdall in the said county of Fermanagh, Esqr. Bearing date the first day of November one thousand and seven hundred and seventy eight for a term of eighteen years from the date thereof at the yearly rent of thirteen pounds eight shillings and nine pence Ster. With a Toties (?) quoties Clause or Covenant for renewal by which said article the said William Watkins for the considerations therein mentioned did Covenant and agree that the said Jno Watkins and Archibald Graham and the survivor of them and the Exers and Admr's of such Survivor shall stand possessed of the said farm of Colenashanton…" Witnesses: Francis Graham.
