Prerogative Will: -
Ross Beaty of Town of Clones, Co. Monaghan.
To be buried on one side of my father's tombstone in Clones Church yard and that the two curates of said parish, and Rev. Mr. Whitsitt (or his successor) shall attend my corpse to the grave accompanied by the Church Clerk singing Psalms and six of my old good acquaintances attending as friends, and all having scarfs.
To Rev. Henry Roper, Junior, Rev. Mungo Henry Noble, and Rev. Richard Forster and their heirs, all my freehold and personal estate whatsoever upon trust, first to pay my debts, and then as follows:
To my daughter Margaret Beaty £1,000 upon her marriage, she to obtain the consent of said trustees, if she marry without consent, only gets £200; and the remaining £800 thus: £600 to my son Vincent Beaty, £100 equally to the children of my brother Thomas, and £100 to the children of my brother James Beaty. Should my daughter die unmarried, said £1000 shall go in above manner.
The residue of my personal fortune as follows:
To the children of my brother Thomas Beaty £30.
To the children of my brother James Beaty £30.
To my brother William Beaty an annuity of £5 for his life.
To Vincent Hozics 5 guineas.
To Eliza Beatty daughter of my brother James £50,.
To Mathew Smith over his wages 2 guineas.
To my other servants 2 guineas over their wages.
Residue of my fortune, freehold or personal to my son, Vincent Beatty and his heirs forever; should he die under 21 same to my daughter Margaret Beatty and should she die same to the children of my brothers Thomas and James Beatty, equally.
Appoint my brother James Beatty and my cousin Archdeacon Beatty guardians to my children together with my aforesaid trustees.
My son Vincent Beatty to be annually allowed £100 for maintenance and education during his minority.
Appoint said Revs. H. Roper, Mungo Noble and Richard Forster to be Exors.
