Lease 20 Sept. 1737 whereby Robert Needham Junior of Newry, Co. Down, Esq. let to James Beatty of Newry, aforesaid, merchant, that tenement or plot of ground situated in the North Street of the town of Newry, aforesaid, can having 80 feet front and extending back to the mill row 75 feet and continuing in the __ 75 feet, bonded in the east with the street, west on the Mill Row, on north with Alex Griffith's tenement, and on south with John Rea's tenement. To hold for lives of H. M. Geo. II., of H.R.H. Frederick of Wales & for H.R.H. Prince Wm. & survivor of the with covenant of renewal forever, at yearly rent therein mentioned. Also a deed poll endorsed on the back of said lease bearing equal date whereby Robert Needham remanded to James Beatty that parcel of ground, being part of Crawford's park. No, 10, containing half an acre, situated on the west side of the road from Newry to Tanrogee in the Lots of Newry co. Armagh to hold for said term and at rent of £1.

John McVitty, Esq., George Beatty, Margaret, Elizabeth, John & Hugh Rosborough, minors by said John McVitty & Geo. Beatty their guardians. Plts. Hugh Rosborough, Robert & Anne Beatty, Defts. Bill 18 April, 1780. Bill amended 18 March 1783 by order of 28 Feb 1783. No ans.
Plaintiff's John McVitty of Cartrons, Esq. and George Beatty of Lissmoy, Co. Longford, gent, Margaret, Elizabeth, John & Hugh Rosborough, minor children of Hugh Rosborough and of Margaret Rosborough alias Nicholson his wife by sd John McVilty & George Beatty their Guardians, show that John Nicholson, late of Clooncaughill, Co. Longford, gent. being possessed among other lands of Clooncaughill aforesaid by lease of 21 years from Hon. Charles Hamilton, he made his will dated 19 Oct. 1763 whereby he bequeathed said lease of Clooncaughill and also his lease of the farm of Carry and residue of his estate real & personal to Plts. John McVilty & George Beatty first to pay his debts, then to the use of his daughter Margaret Rosborough for life, then to her issue male equally, but should Margaret die before her husband Hugh Rosborough without issue, in such case testator bequeathed said residuary estate to his kinsman John Betty son of Claudius Beatty of Oughteraughy, Co. Cavan and his heirs, and of said will appt Plts. McVilty & Beatty, exors. That Plts. McVilty & Beatty proved said will in the dio. of Ardagh. . That Margaret, wife of Hugh Rosborough died in May 1771 leaving five children by said Hugh Rosborough, viz: Anne, Margaret, Elizabeth, John and Hugh, then minors, all of whom are now living. That testator John Nicholson before he died made a treaty with Chas. Hamilton or his agent Robert Fetherston to renew said lease of Clooncaughill, but he died before it was concluded. That Charles Hamilton was restrained by settlement not to make any larger leases than 21 years, and sd. Lease shd expire in 1766. That Hugh Rosborough on behalf of his children did obtain from Chas. Hamilton
