John Betty in consideration of him paying the same, and that John Betty promised to re-assign the premises to Plt. [Signed:] John Irvin.
Laghlin O'Monaghan of Tullycallrick, Co. Fermanagh, aged 35. Knows all the parties there 20 years, and the lands 16 years. That Plt. Sam Johnston was seized in fee farm of sd lands under Madam Haslett at £5-12/- rent. That one Coll oge O'Monaghan was a witness to the deed made by Plt. to Deft. John Betty and that Betty promised to re-assign the premises to Plt. on redemption of the mortgage money of £10. This Dep't paid rent for 4 years to Deft. John Betty for sd lands of Tullycallrick, and for one years and 6 years more to Defts. Rowland Betty and James Johnston since 1707, and still pays rent to James Johnston. That Deft. Joan McCormick of Fardreen Co. Fermanagh, aged 40. Knows the Plt. and Defts there 12 yrs, and the said lands 10 years; because she lived there in 1708 and paid £1 rent for a part of said lands of Tullycallride to John Corry, son-in-law to Deft. John Betty. [Signed:] Joan McCormick.
John Johnston of Kilterny, Co. Fermanagh, aged 38. Knows all the parties there 16 years because he is their relation and neighbour; knows said lands 16 years and that Plt. Samuel Johnston was seized of same in fee farm under Henry Blenerhasset Esq. at £5-12/- yearly rent, knows this because this Dep't lived next to said lands. That Deft. John Betty was agent to Phoebe the widow of Henry Blenerhassett. That Plt. Sam Johnston became in arrear of his rent for £10 and in consideration of payment of said arrears he conveyed the land to Deft John Betty with proviso of redemption and a promise from Betty to re-assign the lands to him. John Betty in pursuance of said promise was to execute a bond of £100 to make good his re-assignment upon redemption [signed:] John Johnston.
