John McVitty of Cartrons, Esq. and George Beatty of Lisanvoy (sic) Co. Longford, Gentl. & the above children of Hugh Rosborough & Margaret Nicholson recite that John Nicholson, of Cloncanghill dated his will 19 Oct. 1763 & left to his daughter Margaret Rosborough. He mentions his kinsmen John Beatty, son of Claudius Beatty of Oughteraugh, Co. Cavan. Anne Beatty, Hugh Rosborough’s eldest daughter, lately married Robert Beatty.

Amended 14 Jan. 1773 by affixing a new bill; amended 9 Feb. 1773 by inserting name of Hugh Beatty; amended 24 Feb. 1773 by changing name of Bettana to Elizabeth Anne Beatty.
The Rt. Hon. Thos. Lord Baron Dartrey, exr of Richard Dawson, Esq., deceased, states that John Beatty of Monaghan, Gent. in 1756 became indebted to Richard Dawson. The said John Beatty died several years ago, leaving issue John Beatty the eldest son & heir at law, and several other children, to wit Hugh 2nd son, now deceased, Sophia, now the wife of Wm. Adams, and no other issue.
Now Bill 14 Jan. 1773 affixed states that sd J. B. the elder died several years ago leaving J. B. the younger his eldest son & heir at law (since dead) and other children, to wit Hugh B. the 2nd son & Sophia now the wife of Wm. Adams, and Ann (who married Robert Floyd, of Farrypark, Co. Longford, Gent and she is since dead without issue) and no other issue. Hugh was said to have died abroad. Your supplt is now informed that Hugh Beatty is still alive and lives in Portugal. John Beatty the younger died __ day of __ last past, leaving Elizabeth Beatty his widow, and John Beatty his son and heir at law, and Mary, Hugh and Elizabeth Anne Beatty his younger children, and no other issue.
