II. Elizabeth Beatty (sic)
The elder son of John Beatty of Corr, by his second wife Mary Young, was: -- John Beatty, of Springtown, Granard, Co. Longford, m. Anne 3 , dau. of Capt. Henry Pakenham, of Pakenham Hall, Co. Longford, M. P. for Navan 1664 (by his 2nd Wife, Anne, sister of Sir Thomas Pigot), and half sister of Sir Thomas Pakenham, grandfather of Thomas, 1st Lord Longford. John Beatty died 3 May 1729, having had issue, 5 sons and 3 daus: [Transcriber Note: Connie Beaty: A side note was included by Crossle pointing to Anne’s name above. It did not really make sense. It says “He was probably the trooper in Wolsely’s Horse 1689/90—see p. 16? was a Lieut. 1689/90 see p. 25? Qr. Martin in Cavan Militia 1702. ]
I. Pakenham Beatty, of Coolarty (which he made over to his brother Robert) was also of Coleraine in 1737, and Collector of Wexford in 1751, will dated 13 July 1759, proved in dio. of Ardagh 25 Feb. 1761.
II Charles Beatty of Dublin, apothecary, m. Elizabeth Edgeworth, with whom he obtained lands in Co. Longford, and d. intestate May, 1747, leaving one son and 4 daus. (to whom his bro. Robert of Springtown was guardian) all minors in 1747. Admon (Prerog) not granted till (sic) 17 July 1764, when he had only two children living viz: Charlotte Graham and Harriet Beatty. His children were:
1. ???? Vernon Beatty, died betw (sic) 4 June 1748 and 2 Jan. 1748-9.

Connie Beaty: Crossle has a note for Harriott that seems to be written over
another sentence: A dau. Elizth (sic) born St. Andrews 22 Aug. 1733. ]
4. Frances Beatty [Transcriber Note: Connie Beaty: No further info written for
Frances and does not indicate if Frances is a son or daughter.]
III. John Beatty, of Monaghan, Cornet Monaghan Militia (Col. Oliver Anketills’ Dragoons) 21 July 1740, will dated 9 Nov. 1758, pr. Prerog. 1 March 1759. (Trustees: “Edward Lucas of Castleshore, Co. Monaghan, Esq. and my son John Beatty) and had four children:--[Transcriber Note: Connie Beaty: Before listing children, Crossle had a margin note for John Beatty-- “His wife was Sophia eldest dau. of Hugh Gillmor of tn (sic) of Monaghan, mercht.]
1. John Beatty, of Monaghan, junior, Lieut. Monaghan Militia (Capt. Edward Lucas’s Independent Co. of Foot) 29 March 1756, m. Elizabeth dau. of Thomas Trewman of Brackey, Co. Armagh, and d. betw. 1770 and 1773, having had by her, who d. 1790, will dated 27 March, pr. Prerog. 7 July, 2 sons & 2 daus:--
(1) John Beatty
(2) Hugh Beatty [Crossle had a bracket around John & Hugh Beatty’s
name which says that they were “not mtd (sic) in mother’s will.”]
(1) (sic) Mary Beatty m. before 1776, Rynd Lawder, of Mongh (sic) (now Lawderdale), Co. Leitrim, son of Frederick Lawder, of Mongh, by Rebecca, dau. of Christopher Rynd, of Ferragh, Co. Leitrim, and d. 12 Feb. 1814, having had by him, who d. 9 Oct. 1811, an eldest son. John Lawder, b. 10 Feb. 1776, ancestor of the Lawders of Lawderdale, see B.L.G.???
(2) Anne Beatty, m. Richard Robinson of Lylo, Co. Armagh.
2. Hugh Beatty, ensign 73rd foot (Blayney’s regt) 17 Jan 1760, Regt. broke in1763, lived in Portugal. [Transcriber Note: Connie Beaty: Crossle’s handwriting is faded for this sentence. Not sure this is correct: “Alive in April 1785?? See 4/27 .”]
