Macartney Esq. Justice of Common Pleas. Cause of this Depts. Knowledge is that Plt. Charles Beaty & Defts Francis Gordon, Anne Gordon alias McCally & Aungier Gordon are all related to this Dept. and she hath been bred among them till the time of her marriage & has seen James Macartney, Esq. at Robinstown at the time of an Election at Granard. That Aungier Gordon made a will of which he appointed Nicholas Cummins and Claud Beaty executors, and Nicholas Cummins acted as executor. This Dept. was a witness to the will which is dated 5 Nov. 1722 and same was signed by Aungier Gordon before this Dept. and Doctor Sheridan and Mary Cuppaidge. Doctor Sheridan is dead, but Mary Cuppaidge is still alive. That Aungier Gordon left 4 children, viz: John Gordon, Alex. Gordon and the Defts Anne Gordon alias McCally and Francis Gordon. That John and Alex Gordon are both dead. Cause of knowledge is because this Dept. was conversant with Aungier Gordon's family being his relation. [Signed:] Jane Kenny.
Mary Cuppaidge of Longford, Co. Longford, aged 45. Has seen Charles Beaty, gent. and Deft. James Macartney, Esq. Does not know Hugh Henry Esq. Knows Defts. Frances Gordon and Anne Gordon alias McCally there 27 years. Knew Aungier Gordon of Robinstown, Co. Longford, Esq. Did not know Hon. James Macartney, Esq. That Aungier Gordon is dead. Cause of knowledge is that this Dept. often visited Aungier Gordon and his family. That Aungier Gordon made a will of which Nicholas Cummin was executor & this Dept. a witness together with Jane Kenny and Doctor Sheridan. That Jane Kenny is living but Doctor Sheridan is dead. Aungier Gordon left 4 children, viz: John Gordon, Alex. Gordon, Frances Gordon and Anne Gordon alias McCally. That Alex. And John are both dead. [Signed:] Mary Cuppaidge.
