and then in possession of John Meakins, baker, on which parcel of ground John Wheeler had built 6 houses or tenements; also of a parcel of ground in Capel street (sic) bounded on the north to a partition stone wall of John Johnston aforesaid, on the west to a garden formerly belonging to Wm. Alcock, gent., since decd and then in possession of Sir Henry Echlen, and boundary to the stable wall of said Wm. Alcock [minute dimensions], whereon sd John Wheeler had built 3 houses called Black Lyon Court; also of another small parcel of ground adjoining said last mentioned premises and being at the east end of said stable whereon said John Wheeler had built a small house then in occupation of John Thompson; also of 4 tenements in a new street called Pemblecoe Lane and sometimes Cole Alley near Meath street (sic), all situate in the city of Dublin, and all subject to the rents as in leases thereof and now in possession of Plt. may appear. That sd John Wheeler by deed dated 6 Feb. 1693, in conson (sic) of 300 mortgaged all said premises to Charles Ward of Dublin, Esq., to hold from date thereof for 51 years at a pepper corn rent but with promise of redemption. That sd John Wheller (sic) on 21 Aug. 1695 made his will and directed his debts to be paid by the sale of his houses in Capel street (sic), and devised to his wife Grace Wheeler the house she then lived in, and devised the rest of his estate into 3 parts, viz: one part to his dau. Margaret; another to his dau. Jane (sic), and the third to his grandchildren then living viz: the children of his dau. Deborah equally when 21, and appointed his wife Grace sole exix (sic), and soon after he died leaving his said wife, and John Woodward and Elizabeth Woodward and also Edward Woodward (a minor who died in minority) his grandchildren then living by his sd dau. Deborah Woodward. That Margaret Wheeler soon after married Wm Blakely, and also Janett (sic)Wheeler soon after married Thomas Clarkson of Dublin, hosier (since decd) and has since or again married Edward Preston. That Grace Wheeler on 6 Nov. 1707 made her will and gave to her daughter Deborah all the benefit of the house she then lived in and her said house in Capel street (sic) and profits of said two houses which she enjoyed under sd. John Wheeler’s will to his sd dau. Deborah for life only, then equally to her children, and she gave to her grand daughter Elizabeth Woodward her title to a house in Capel street (sic)whereon one Kenney then lived, to her grandson Wheeler Woodward his title to a house called the Double house in White Lyon Court, and to her 2 grandchildren Thomas and Richard Woodward her title to 2 houses in Black Lyon Court equally; to her grandson James or Joseph (blurred) Preston her title to a house in White Lyon Court wherein one Fleming lived; to her grand dau. Grace Blakely another house in White Lyon Court wherein one
Franklin lived; to her grandson Edward Woodward (since decd) her title to a house in Strand street (sic) wherein one Ruddery lived; and appointed said Deborah Woodward and one Wm Guttery (since decd) exors. That Deborah Woodward & Wm Guttery proved sd will in some spiritual court. That said Thomas Clarkson is since dead and Jane his widow has since married Edward Preston.
