Armagh Will:
Nuncupative will of Margaret Russell alias Beatty, late while she lived of Cookstowne, psh of Derryloran, diocese of Armagh, widow.
To be buried in the churchyard of Londondery. All her worldly goods to her only son William Betty he paying to each of his three sisters £10. Declared 8 July 1689 (and she died soon after) before Joseph Wright and Henry Hunter.
20 March 1690/1. Henry Hunter swears as to witnessing; before Thom: Lawsen, surr.

Indorsed “The Nuncupative will of Marg. Beaty of Cookstown, Psh Derryloran proved and executors and Admin? to her son Wm Beatty the 4th day of March 1690 [-1]”

The above will ? ? ? made at Derry when testator had taken refuge along with her son Wm, who distinguished himself during the siege of that place by many acts of valour.
Armagh Will:
“In the name of God Amen there in the last will and testament of William Beatty he being weaker of body but of good and perfect memory.
I leave to my Daughter Jenalt fifty pounds ster. I leave to my daughter Mary twenty pound ster. I leave to my daughter Margrett twenty pound ster. and what remains to my wife and my son William for to be equally divided betwixt them in witness where of I have pases unto sett to my hand and seald the fourth day of October Ano domini 1685. More I leave to my sister Nansey twenty five shillings. More I leave to my sister Jenalt twenty five shillings.

To be buried in the churchyard of Ardmagh.
I do charge my son George Bettie and my son William Betty to pay debts due by me, and also to recover debts due to me, and do charge my sd sons to give as a legacy to my son James Betty one bald mare and cow.
I bestow all goods and chattels whatsoever to my sons George and Wm Betty.
