But lately attained his age of 21 and also has lived at a distance from the premises never inquired into the value of Ardvaney and Ferraryl, or into the title of John Betty thereto. That said Rowland and John Betty well knowing they had no title did for many years past pay £10 per annum as rent to the Proprietress of said manor and held the lands at sufferance and by their means have continued to maintain long possession of said lands. That said John Betty combining with John Coyne, Esq., James Johnstone, gent., and Robert Spence, Esq., who pretended that Rowland Betty or some other person deriving a title under him had an estate of inheritance in Ardvarny and Ferraryl, and that Rowland or John Betty having become indebted to said confederates have incumbered said lands, although they had no title so to do, and said confederates have had Rowland or John Betty outlawed on a suit for debt and have obtained a Custodian in this Hon Court of said lands, viz. John Forster, Esq., Her Majesties Attorney General who insists on Her Majesty’s prerogative that PLT’s cannot obtain leave to bring an ejectment for said lands but that same are detained in the Queen’s Custody for the benefit of the Confederates until the debts of Rowland or John Betty are paid, who in truth have no title to same. Pray that writs may be granted against John Betty, John Coyne, James Johnston and Robert Spence and John Forster, Esq., H. M’s Atty. Gen. to answer in the premises.

Plaintiff James Brock of Kilbride, county Longford, gent., sheweth. That James Brock, junior, late of the city of Dublin, silversmith, owing to John Clifton of the city of Dublin, silversmith, £11-10/4 debt, and Clifton pressing for payment of same, said James Brock, junior, applied to PLT and to John Barret of city of Dublin, ingraver to join him to secure said debt to Clifton. That accordingly John Brock, junior, John Barrett and PLT executed two bonds to Clifton dated 6 Sept. 1719 each in the penalty of £11-10/4 to pay £5-15/2. That James Brock, junior, soon after failed in his circumstances and left the kingdom and ever since absconds from same without paying his debts, whereby John Barrett and PLT are liable to pay on part of said two bonds. That in consequence whereof PLT or Aungier Gordon, Esq., deceased, by PLT’s direction did soon after discharge all principal and interest due on one of the bonds to John Barrett who sometime before had paid some small considerations or otherwise compounded with Clifton,
