On 16 January 1832 Claudius Beatty father of Testator sworn to execute the will; before George Crawford, V.G.
Prerogative Will:
John Scott of Coronary, parish of Knockbride, county Cavan, being at present aged, feeble and weak. To be buried in Dromgoon [Drumgoon].
To Jeck? Scott son to Sam Scott deceased, 2 pounds.
To Andrew Cook my son-in-law 1/-
To James Elliot my son-in-law 1/-
To Edmond Beaty my son-in-law 1/-
To my wife and widow her half of my cattle in Knockneshainer [Knocknashammer ?] and all the cattle at Cononery? at my dwelling house, and all household furniture whatsoever, and the lease of Drutomin [Drutamy?] and the other half to John Simms, junior together with the lease of Tullyconkan? and my best horse and saddle, bridle, sword and case of pistols.
I appoint my wife and widow Isabella Scott and John Sims of Monaghan, senior, and John Sims my grandson, junior; to be executors.
I leave to John Sims junior 150 pounds.
To Sarter? Cook/Coole alias Scott 60 pounds.
To John Elliot my grandson 50 pounds.
To Bellanna Beatty 30 pounds.

Probate the will of John Scott late of Corronary, county Cavan, deceased, granted to Isabella Scott his widow and John Swiss/Simms/Saris? of Monaghan, senior, two of the executors (saving the right of John S-- junior, grandson ["nepotis" ex fie?"] by a daughter of said deceased); dated 5 June 1733.

Died 4 December, in York Street, Elizabeth, daughter of the late Henry Betagh, Esq., aged 79 years. 7 December 1840.
Died 14 July, at her residence, York Street, aged 77, Jane, daughter of the late Henry Betagh, Esq., 15 July 1840.
Died 11 December 1839 at his residence, Cowley Place, James Betty, Esq., Barrister at law. 16 December 1839.
